How to play Crossword Kingdom

1. Download Crossword Kingdom on your iPhone or Android device. Open the app with an internet connection to begin your guest account.
2. Choose a crossword from the app. A mini gives you a compact starting point; the Daily Joust offers a daily challenge.
3. Select a word on the board and read its clue. Across answers run horizontally; Down answers run vertically.
4. Enter one letter per square. Use the answer length and any crossing letters to check your idea.
5. Work through the remaining clues and complete the puzzle. The app records your progress and rewards, including XP.

The screenshot shows the app’s numbered crossword board and clue interface. The number connects a starting square with a clue. A highlighted word shows which answer you are working on, while the selected square shows where your next letter belongs. Look at the whole word before typing so that your answer fits the available spaces.

In the screenshot, “What you have at night” leads to the five-letter answer DREAM. The highlighted row shows all five letters together. Each letter also occupies a square in the board, so an answer crossing the R must use R at that intersection. Check the clue, the number of squares, and the crossings together rather than guessing from the clue alone.

Try a different clue, then return once the crossing words supply more letters. Consider whether the clue asks for a person, place, action, or plural. For a themed puzzle, use the subject as another piece of context. Avoid changing several uncertain answers at once—you will find a conflict more easily by checking one crossing at a time.
